On the week beginning 14th November 2016 we celebrated our own ‘Friendship Week’.
During this week our pupils took part in a range of activities including art based activities based around friendship and 10 lucky children will have the chance of their art work being displayed in a public place in Rotherham.
We were also fortunate enough to have some special visitors in school during the week including Paralympic athlete Daniel Gardiner and Rotherham’s Anti-Bullying Officer, Anne Foxley-Johnson.
Our week started with a special assembly delivered by our own Friendship Cadets. Our Friendship Cadets are: Issabella Russell, Ella Oxborough, Dakota Whincup, Kaif Hameed, Falak Khaliq, Mushtaba Nadeem, Jack Walker, Libby Bullen, Charlie Wilde, Aimee Grace, Tayyub Rashid, Ruby Williamson, Chloe Ahmed and Charlie Parkin.
Parents/carers also had the opportunity to support their child/children at home as we ran a ‘design your own superhero’ competition for all children to enter. The superhero had to be based around the theme ‘Power for Good’ and have superpowers/gadgets which promoted friendship and helped to banish the bullies.
